Fall Cricut Layered Doormat

CRICUT MAT

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Laptop or Computer
• Cricut Explore Machine
• SVG Design
• 12"x 24" Mat
• Assorted Iron On Vinyl
• Doormat
• Cricut Weeding Tool
• Cricut EasyPress

DIRECTIONS:

1. Measure your mat size and set aside.
2. Open Design Space and insert the SVG File.
3. Change the name and year to your personalized name and year.
4. Change the color of half the leaves and name date to brown.
5. Change the color of a few leaves to orange.
6. Size according to your mat size.
7. Attach the name and date so it cuts in place.
8. Leaves can be cut in any order. They will be cut out and separated later.
9. Cut with the Cricut and follow on screen instructions.
10. Weed design, warm your EasyPress.
11. Cut out leaves individually and place your design and leaves on your mat.
12. If any leaves hang off the mat, cut them with scissors.
13. Press with the EasyPress at 315 degrees for 30 seconds and peel up while still semi-warm.

FABRIC MAT

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• 1yd print outdoor fabric
• 1yd solid outdoor fabric
• 1 roll grip premium
• Basic sewing supplies

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut one 39"x 27" rectangle print fabric.
2. Cut one 39"x 27" rectangle solid fabric.
3. With right sides together, pin two rectangles together.
4. Sew around outer edge using 1/2" seam allowance leaving a 4" opening on one side to turn.
5. Clip corners and turn right side out.
6. Press and slip stitch opening closed.
7. Topstitch 1" from edge all the way around the mat.

JOANN HACKS:

• Measure the mat and find the center, mark with tape so you can easily center your name.
