SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Assorted Floral Picks
  • Wire Cutters
  • Unfinished Wood Frame
  • Chalkboard
  • Hot Glue Gun/Glue Gun Sticks
  • Wood Stain
  • Paint Brush
  • Paper Towels
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Gold Paint Pen

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Remove the glass and backing from the frame and use a paint brush to paint wood stain on the frame. Use paper towels to wipe away excess stain. Allow to dry for at least 2-4 hours.
  2. Use wire cutters to trim floral picks apart.
  3. Using hot glue, add several large focal flowers to the frame. Add in other smaller flowers and greenery around the focal flowers, creating an asymmetrical design.
  4. Use hot glue gun to attach the chalkboard to the back of the frame.
  5. Use scissors to cut a piece of ribbon about 24" in length.
  6. Draw your initials in light pencil in the center of chalkboard.
  7. Trace letter with gold paint pen, let dry.
  8. Attach the center of the ribbon to the back of the top of the frame using hot glue. Tie the ends in a bow at the top to hang the wreath.

JOANN HACKS:

  • Allow some of the stems to be longer and more three dimensional off of the frame to create depth in the design.
