SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 1/2 yd - Fall print fabric
- 1/3 yd - coordinating fabric for pocket
- 1/2 yd - fusible fleece interfacing
- 1/2 yd - fusible light interfacing for pocket
- 1 - 1" button
- Rotary cutter, mat and grid ruler
- Basic sewing supplies
DIRECTIONS:

(1/2" seam allowance) (finished size 14" x 19")
- Cut 2 - from fall fabric and fleece interfacing 15" x 20"
- Cut 2 - 9" squares from coordinating print and 1 - 9" from interfacing.
- Fuse interfacing to coordinating pieces.
- With RST, stitch 9" square together on two sides.
- Turn and press.
- Top stitch around the two seams.
- Place the pocket on front of placemat having the two raw edges of pocket at side and bottom.
- Baste around edges.
- With RST pin back to front of placemat, leaving an opening for turning.
- Turn and sew opening closed.
- Top stitch around placemat at 1/4" from edge.
- Top stitch again 1/4" in from first stitching.
- Top stitch top edge of pocket from side of placemat in 2".
- Top stitch side edge of pocket from bottom up 2".
- Fold corner of pocket down and sew on button.

Easiest Place-mats to make.
I love these place-mats. I made one set of 4 and now am making a set of 8. They are very easy to make. I made mine for Christmas using JoAnn's Christmas fabrics. The silverware and napkin pocket works so well. The photo shows the first ones I made.
