SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Embroidery Cloth
- Tulip Slick Dimensional Fabric Paint
- Wilderness Nature Fabric Paints from Tulip
- Embroidery Hoops
- Paint Brushes
- Pencil
- Optional: Raffia, Wooden Beads, Wide Popsicle Sticks, Hot Glue Gun/Glue Gun Sticks
DIRECTIONS:
- Lightly trace embroidery hoops on the cloth to give yourself the space you have available to paint.
- Give the paints a shake.
- Paint a moon and stars inside the smallest hoop area.
- Paint a sunrise with Sunset Sky yellow paint. Add details with green and gray underneath.
- Cut about 8" of raffia and tied a knot in the center.
- Fold the raffia bundle in half and hot glue them down to the underside of the hoop.
- For the small moon and star, cut the popsicle sticks down to just a few inches and glue them to the back side of the hoop.
JOANN HACKS:
- Using the Tulip Slick Dimensional Fabric Paint really gives these paintings a true embroidery feel.
- The narrow tips can really create thin line work.
- Use a small dash pattern to mimic embroidery stitches.
