SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Terracotta pot
  • White felt
  • Sewing needle
  • White thread
  • Light tan and dark tan paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Stuffing

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Paint the terracotta pot light tan. Use dark tan paint to add detail lines for the ice cream cone on the bottom half.

  2. Use scissors to cut a white felt circle about 10-12" wide.
  3. Use a running stitch with needle & thread to stitch along the outside edge of the circle.
  4. Pull the thread tight around the circle to cinch the edges. Fill with stuffing and pull the thread as tight as possible then tie a knot to close the edges.

  5. Use hot glue to glue the ice cream scoop on the top of the terracotta pot cone.
  6. Cut a long piece of rectangular felt about 18-20" long and 1/2" wide. Stitch a running stitch down the center of the rectangle.
  7. Pull the stitch tight to gather the felt and make a ruffle. Hot glue the ruffle around the bottom edge of the ice cream scoop where it meets the cone.
