SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Aleene's Original Tacky Glue
- Felt, Desired Colors
- Stocking Pattern (see GET PATTERNS tab)
- Scissors
- Marker
- Coins: Penny, Dime Quarter
- Optional: Scalloped Shears
DIRECTIONS:
To find the downloadable patterns click on the "GET PATTERNS" tab above.- First, decide which felt colors you'd like to use for your ornaments. Go with traditional holiday colors or mix it up with fun, vibrant shades.
- Cut out felt in shape of stocking. You will need two pieces per ornament. Cut strips of felt from another color that will be the band of the stocking. Use scalloped shears if you want to add an extra decorative touch.
- Add a line of Tacky Glue around edges of bottom piece and press the top piece in place over the glue.
- Remember to leave the top open.
- Glue the band piece along the top edge, then cut another small piece of felt to create the hanger.
- Fold the piece in half and glue along the cut edges; glue to the inside top edge of stocking at the back.
- Let dry completely.
- To create a snowman decoration for the front of the stocking ornaments, trace your three coins onto white felt and cut out.
- Glue largest circle at the base, medium in the center and the smallest circle on top.
- Create a cute hat and carrot nose to glue to the top piece.
- You can also cut out stars, stripes and other festive designs to decorate the fronts of the stockings.
- Let dry completely.

Great Idea for Kids to make
I want to have my grandkids make some ornaments this year, but the pattern is missing for the stockings cutouts!
