First Day Photo Props

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Cardstock, Black, Mustard, Yellow, Light Grey, Light Pink, Purple, Light Purple, Red, Green, Light Blue, White
  • Premium Vinyl, Removable, White
  • StandardGrip Machine Mat, 12"x 12"
  • LightGrip Machine Mat, 12"x 12"
  • Weeder
  • Transfer Tape
  • Chalkboard Sign, 8"x 5"
  • Scraper
  • Hot Glue Gun/Glue Gun Sticks
  • Popsicle Sticks
  • Adhesive for Paper
  • Cricut Machine

DIRECTIONS:

    Image designs are approximately 5.6 in x 4.9 in (14.2 cm x 12.4 cm) Sign design is approximately 7 1/2"x 4".

    PREPARATION
    1. To alter the project, select Customize, then use the Edit panel to make changes.
    2. To edit text, use the text tool to select the text you want to change, and type in your desired letters. To lock text in place, use Attach.

    CUT
    1. Follow Design Space prompts to cut images from vinyl.
    2. Follow Design Space prompts to cut images from cardstock.

    ASSEMBLE
    1. Remove cardstock from mat. Try gently bending and pulling the mat from cardstock, not the cardstock from mat.
    2. Use the project photos to assemble the assorted photo props using adhesive for paper. Once assembled, attach to the popsicle sticks with hot glue.
    3. Use a Weeder Tool to remove unneeded vinyl pieces. When weeding, start from inside and move outward.
    4. Use Transfer Tape and a Scraper Tool to apply vinyl cuts to the chalkboard sign. Make sure the surface is clean and dry.
