Benefits Outweigh Negatives
This is certainly a step up from the cheap seam gauges sewers start off with. It’s nice to not worry about keeping the gauge at the correct measurement. However, I wouldn’t get rid of my metal one over this. This one is plastic so cannot be ironed and may be breakable. The “T” shape of this is both a positive and negative as it is helpful for straight seams, but not for curves.
