I wanted a rotary trimmer and went with this model. I love the light weight of the trimmer and the guidelines on it but the handle that extends to give you a larger cutting area leaves little to be desired. It's hard to see the markings because they're the same color as the guide. I ended up taking a sharpie and coloring over the lines on every inch mark. Overall, it's a great trimmer, just hard to see the extended markings.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2016-01-08</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2016-01-08" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="70211269"> <meta itemprop="itemReviewed" content="Fiskars Rotary Trimmer 12-28mm" /> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">1</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author">Jennifer13</span> from <span itemprop="name">SO hard to measure with</span> <span itemprop="description">I bought this a while ago and struggled with being able to get the exact measured cut I wanted. The swing arm is etched, with tiny print, and is nearly impossible to see without the light shining on it just the right way. Also, it seems upside down to me. The numbers on the base and swing arm all face so that you use the cutter as shown with the arm swinging out to the left and upward. However, with the etchings on the swing arm difficult to see anyway, it's even more difficult when it's well over a foot away from your eyes. I have to turn it and use it with the arm swinging downward to the right. Lastly, I don't think the markings on the swing arm are correct, or something moved. For example, when I try to do a 5&quot; cut, I have to set the paper between 1/8 and 1/16 past 5&quot; to get a 5&quot; piece of paper. Way too much guesswork.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2015-11-23</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2015-11-23" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="16352907"> <meta itemprop="itemReviewed" content="Fiskars Rotary Trimmer 12-28mm" /> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author">Lynn</span> from <span itemprop="name">My Fiskars Rotary Trimmer with 28mm</span> <span itemprop="description">I just bought this at Joann's a few days ago and I love it. This is my 3rd paper trimmer by fiskars, I have a larger one that's not portable but is equally awesome, the 2nd one I love too but I cannot find replacement blades. I will say that when I purchased this trimmer I thought I could replace the blades with my own 28mm rotary blades, but that’s now the case. So I really hope I can find replacement blades for this one. It is a nice paper trimmer. ;* )</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2011-04-29</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2011-04-29" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="70482524"> <meta itemprop="itemReviewed" content="Fiskars Rotary Trimmer 12-28mm" /> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">2</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author">clowe</span> from <span itemprop="name">Returned it :-(</span> <span itemprop="description">Bought this model last week and returned it today. The ruler is basically unreadable; numbers are tiny, which wouldn't have been so bad if they were a different color than the rest of the ruler. If your trying to make decorative boxes you really need the ruler to be highly visible and this one isn't. It cut ok ( sometimes it didn't ).
