DIRECTIONS:
- 2 yds of flannel fabric
- 80" of 1/4" wide elastic
- Sewing machine
- Thread
- Basic sewing supplies
- Serger (recommended)
- Safety pin (for inserting elastic)
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut a 67.5"x 43.5" rectangle out of flannel fabric. Cut 7" squares from each corner.
- Using a 1/2" seam allowance, sew together 7" cutouts right-sides together for each corner to create boxed corners. Finish seams with serger or narrow zigzag stitch.
- Serge or zigzag unfinished edge of sheet. Press under 5/8" around entire edge. Stitch 1/2" from fold to create casing. Leave a small hole to insert elastic.
- Thread elastic through casing and overlap edges when beginning meets end. Stitch ends of elastic together. Continue topstitching over elastic opening to enclose casing.
