  3. With right sides together, stitch a 1/2" seam on one long side of 1 flannel and 1 sherpa piece.
  4. Turn and baste the remaining 3 sides. The folded edge will be the front of the top blanket.
  5. Fold to back 1/2" on one long side on remaining flannel piece and top stitch. This will be the back of bed. Set aside.

  10. Take the section you just constructed and place it with the flannel sides together matching up the front edges.
  11. Pin the right side of flannel to the right side of the sherpa piece incasing the folded front of blanket.
  12. Pin sides.
  13. The back of this should have the folded seam of flannel and the incased seam of sherpa and flannel of blanket.
  14. Stitch 1/2" seam around the three sides being careful not to sew the front folded blanket section.
  15. Turn. The finished piece should have the two sherpa sides facing each other and the flannel sections on outside.
  16. Center the velcro on the inside of the two back openings and stitch in place.
  17. Insert bed.
