DIRECTIONS:
To find the downloadable patterns click on the "GET PATTERNS" tab above.- Cut 6 pieces of fleece for small pumpkin, 6 pieces of fleece for medium pumpkin, and/or 8 pieces of fleece for large pumpkin, plus one bottom piece for each.
- Wrong sides together, pin along the curve.
- Make a mark an inch from the top of the curve and an inch from the bottom of the curve. Sew along the curve with 1/2" seam allowance, from mark to mark, backstitching at the start and finish.
- Join each piece together in the same way. Attach last piece to first piece.
- Flip wrong side out and attach bottom piece, matching bottom points to seams. Pin and sew bottom piece from point to point with a 1/2" seam allowance.
- Turn right side out, stuff with Fiber Fill.
- Position stick in the center of the Fiber Fill.
- Thread Upholstery Needle with Waxed Button Thread and sew a long stitch around the top edge.
- Pull thread taut until fleece is closed around the stick, knot in place.
- Wrap stick with twine and tie into a bow.
JOANN HACKS:
- It is immensely helpful to have another person hold the pumpkin in place as you knot the waxed thread around the stick.
- Use found tree branches for the stick.
