Fleece Fringe Scarf

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1yd Fleece Fabric at Least 45" Wide
  • 1yd Coordinating Fleece Fabric at Least 45" Wide
  • Basic Sewing Supplies
  • Sewing Machine with Zigzag Stitch
  • Rotary Cutter, Mat and Ruler

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut a rectangle 21"x 45" of fleece fabric.
  2. Cut a rectangle 21"x 45" of coordinating fleece.
  3. Using a zigzag stitch, sew together two of the shorter ends of the fleece pieces, overlapping to create a center seam, making sure that you are sewing along the edge of the fabric.
  4. Fold scarf in half matching the center seam and sew along the long edge to create a tube using 1/2" seam.
  5. Turn right side out and cut fringe on bottom of scarf 4" long and approximately 3/8" wide or as desired.

JOANN HACKS:

  • Make zigzag stitch wider for ease of enclosing center seam.
  • Use a decorative stitch to sew center seam.
