Very poor directions and photos
For a fabric/sewing shop Joann has the worst and most difficult instructions. Impossible to follow.

There is no "get patterns" tab to click to make sense of this pattern as stated to do in the instructions. You have to draw out the pattern for yourself and figure the dimensions of each piece from that. Cute block though incomplete.

a dis-service to any quilter
First, the flower block is pretty and I'll make it, despite the steps missing from this pattern. It's a beginner pattern because it requires straight line sewing. However, there are major gaps in the directions to help anyone attempting the flower block, which is as far as I read. What's missing are the steps needed to create the two different "petal" components. I can see by the pattern diagram to make flying geese-type assembly at each point of the larger petal using the light purple rectangle as the base BUT expecting anyone to know that from just seeing the diagrams and looking at the cutting directions is VERY POOR decision-making on the part of whoever determined this pattern as finished and fit for posting. It probably took me longer to write this review than it would have taken to include the missing steps to make the petal components. I read a lot of quilt patterns to decide what I want to make next and this one may be the worst I've ever seen for lack of directions. First and last time I'm looking to Joann for any type of pattern.

pattern missing salvage
I agree with the other reviews. There are no instructions on how to piece together the smaller blocks, which is the hardest part. I think salvage is missing. The flower itself is a nice pattern and will try it out on my own - without the pattern.

Very confusing
Flower block shows the pieces to cut, but not how to sew the pieces together to achieve the smaller blocks that are needed to make the big block. Seems that instructions are missing.

Problem with pattern dimensions
I cut out the patterns following the dimensions provided. I was unable to assemble the pieces to create the flower block. I was able to complete the block by adding additional pieces and modifying the design. Unless more directions are provided, I would not recommend attempting it.
