DIRECTIONS:
To find the downloadable patterns click on the "GET PATTERNS" tab above.- Use the pencil to either trace the bunny silhouette or to draw your own bunny shape
- Squeeze out three, 1/2 tsp piles of Titanium White onto the palette paper.
- Next to the first pile, squeeze out a tiny dab of the Cadmium Free Red Light.
- Next to the second pile, squeeze out a tiny dab of the Quinacridone Magenta.
- Next to the last pile, squeeze out a tiny dab of the Bright Aqua Green.
- Use the palette knife to mix each of the paint piles, cleaning the knife with a paper towel between colors.
- Take the size 2 round brush and pick a color to create a tiny flower by the bunny's ears. Alternate colors and make different petal shapes.
- Tip: to make the flowers, use quick brush strokes to create varied line widths. Also, allow white to show through the different petals.
- Next, clean the round brush and dip it into the gold. Use varied thick and thin line work to outline the bunny shape.
- Once that's complete, it will be time to paint over any excess pencil marks. Dip the size 4 filbert brush into the Titanium white and paint over any pencil residue or marks.
- Clean the filbert brush and then return to the round brush. Take the round brush and dip it into the Cadmium Free Red Light and white color mixture.
- Make some rounded strokes to create an oval/egg or jellybean shape.
- Space out more of the oval shapes around the bunny.
- Do the same with the Quinacridone mix and the Bright Aqua Green mix. Make sure to space the ovals in a visually pleasing way.
- Let the paint dry and enjoy.
JOANN HACKS:
- Allow some of the oval shapes to go off the edge of the canvas for extra design.
