SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Sheet of foam core 48"x 60" OR two smaller sheets taped together
  • Glue gun/glue gun sticks
  • Artificial greenery such as boxwood (enough to cover the foam core board)
  • Artificial flowers (white & peach used here)
  • Bottle of green paint
  • Medium paintbrush
  • Wire cutters
  • Duct tape (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Make sure the sheet of foam core is the size you want. To make a bigger sheet, cut one of your two sheets to be about 12" wide and the length of the foam core sheet.  Lay the new cut sheet next to your bigger sheet and duct them together from the top to the bottom going lengthwise.
  2. Using the green paint, completely cover the foam core board and let it dry.
  3. While paint is drying cut the heads off of all of the flowers.
  4. With your hot glue gun, glue the boxwood greenery to the foam core board. You can space out the greenery to allow flower to also help fill the space.
  5. When gluing the flowers on top, remember where you are going to be sitting. You don't need to fill it as tight, because you will be covering up that area.

Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:

  • When purchasing the flowers, use the bunches of flowers instead of the single stem. You will get many heads of flowers instead of just one per stem.
