SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Cricut® Cutting Machine Air™ 2 or Cricut Maker™
  • Cricut StandardGrip Mat
  • Cricut Infusible Ink™ transfer sheet, Marble
  • Cricut 10"x 12" EasyPress™ 2
  • Cricut EasyPress Mat 20"x16"
  • Cricut InfusibleInk™ white pillow cover
  • Cricut heat-resistant tape
  • White cardstock or butcher paper
  • Lint roller
  • Tweezers

DIRECTIONS:

  2. This project makes one 10 9/10"x 10 7/10" pillow cover designs. You can customize your project size and text by clicking customize button in the bottom right of the project screen. Hit Make It to make the project as is.

  3. Cut & Weed:
  4. Place InfusibleInk™ Transfer Sheet onto StandardGrip mat, liner side down.
  5. In Design Space, select and size your design to fit on apparel blank. Be sure to Mirror your design.
  6. Select Browse all materials, then InfusibleInk™ Transfer Sheet. If using a Cricut Explore machine, turn Smart Set Dial to Custom first.
  7. Load mat and blade into machine, then press flashing Go button.
  8. Remove cut design from mat and trim away unused area of sheet.   
  9. Gently roll cut design so cut lines separate and are more visible. “Cracking" the cut this way makes it easier to remove excess paper from in and around your design
  10. Use your fingers or tweezers to carefully remove negative pieces from in and around your design, leaving design on liner.
  11. Trim clear liner so it does not extend beyond Cricut EasyPress heat plate. 
  12. Apply:
  13. Now is a good time to prep your Cricut EasyPress. For precise temp, time, and pressure settings for your project, always refer to the Cricut EasyPress Heat Transfer Guide. For this project, set Cricut EasyPress 2 to 400°F (205°C) and 240 seconds.  

  14. If Using EasyPress 2: 
  15. Preheat 15s 
  16. 385°F/195°C  
  17. 60 seconds 
  18. Light pressure 
  19. Warm peel 

  20. If Using EasyPress 1: 
  21. Preheat 15s 
  22. 360°F/185°C  
  23. 120 seconds 
  24. Light pressure 
  25. Warm peel 

  26. Stacking order top to bottom:
  27. Cricut EasyPress 1 or 2 
  28. Butcher paper 
  29. Infusible Ink design, facedown 
  30. Cricut wine bag blank 
  31. White cardstock (80 lb/216 gsm) or 4 layers butcher paper
  32. Cricut EasyPress mat 

  33. Preheat Preparation: 
  34. Preheat Cricut EasyPress 1 or 2  
  35. Place pillow sham on clean mat 
  36. Insert cardstock inside pillow sham to prevent bleed through 
  37. Lint roll pillow sham 
  38. Cover pillow sham with butcher paper larger than heat plate 
  39. Preheat pillow sham for 15 seconds 
  40. Remove butcher paper from top of pillow sham 

  41. Application: 
  42. Place design face down, liner side up 
  43. Cover with clean butcher paper larger than heat plate 
  44. Press with light pressure at 385°F for 60 seconds (EasyPress 2) or 360°F for 120 seconds (EasyPress 1)  
  45. Slowly lift press  
  46. Remove butcher paper 
  47. Remove liner when cool to touch

  • Before handling Infusible Ink materials, be sure that your hands are dry and free of any oils or lotions.
