- 7-8 sheer print 7" diameter circles
- 2 sequin 2" circles
- 3/8" assorted trim
- 2 buttons, 3/4"
- Dowel, 3/8"x 12"
- Saw
- Multi-surface paint, 2oz: 1 each Titanium White + color to complement sequin fabric color
- Palette
- 1/2" flat or similar artist's brush
- Fabri-Tac adhesive
- Beacon Quick Grip adhesive
- Flex Foam or Quilt Batting, (2) 2" circles
- Marking pen
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut dowel to 12" L.
- Paint dowel one coat of white and one coat of finish color.
- Let dry.
- Cut (7 or 8) 7" circles from sheer fabric. Fold circle in half then fold in half again. Sew a running stitch 1/4" from raw edges. Pull stitch to gather fabric. Double knot. Repeat. Sew all petals together through raw ends to form a circle of petals.
- Cut (2) 2" circles from sequin fabric and Flex Foam or Quilt Batting. Layer one fabric on top of one foam or batting. Sew a zig zag stitch around the edge. Apply trim on top of the stitching adhering with Fabri-Tac. Allow trim to drape beyond edge of circle. Repeat. Hand stitch a button in the center of the sequin circle. Repeat.
- Optional hanging trim: Cut (4) 16" lengths of trim. Fold in half. Add a small bead of Fabri-Tac to ends of trim to prevent fray.
- Attach dowel to one sequin circle. On wrong side of circle lay a generous amount of Quick Grip adhesive in a 1 1/2" line from one edge of circle. Lay the dowel onto the adhesive. For optional hanging trim add adhesive around end and sides of dowel area attached to circle. Press folded ends of trim around and on top of dowel. Add adhesive to entire back of sequin circle. Press centered to petal raw ends. Let dry. Apply adhesive to entire back of second sequin circle. Center on opposite side of petals, matching location of original sequin circle. Let dry.
