FUN PROJECTSI also used a foam roller on a smooth surface. I painted animal shape outlines so the kids could color them with colored chalk any color they wanted. They love coloring the monkey purple and the cow green with yellow spots (Green Bay Packer colors).

Worked great.I used one can to paint a 36" x 36" area with a foam roller and four thin coats. I cured for two days and then seasoned. Regular chalk erases easily. I use a magic eraser to remove chalk marker. Regular use x 1 month so far and all is well.

Eh It's AlrightI was hoping to use this to paint on a canvas and then be able to write on it with chalk. When putting on the paint, it was difficult to avoid streaks. After it dried, I was expecting the texture of a chalkboard, but instead it was the texture of acrylic paints. I guess it does say "acrylic paint" on the label though. Also the chalk had to be pressed hard to leave a mark, so this does not make for a good project on a soft canvas.

Just ok paint.I could not decide how to apply this paint. With a brush and foam brush it leaves streaks. With a small roller it leaves shiny blobs. I was applying it to a flat hard chalkboard with a scratch in it. It would not fill in the scratch.
