Food Jar with Cricut Labels

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Laptop or Computer
  • Cricut Explore
  • Cricut Standard Grip Mat 12"x 12"
  • Transfer Tape Light Grip
  • 3 Glass Mason Jars
  • Halloween Ribbons
  • Cardstock
  • Permanent Vinyl Black
  • Muffin Mix (ingredients of choice)
  • Trail Mix (ingredients of choice)
  • Caramel Corn
  • Candy Eyes
  • Candy Corn
  • Wax Paper
  • Mixing Bowl

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Open Design Space and go to Images.
  2. Search for vial vase, and insert image #MD727DA.
  3. Duplicate image 3 times and change color to 1 purple and 2 green.
  4. Size them to (2) 2"x 4" for larger jars and (1) 1"x 2" for smaller jars.
  5. Insert text box and change font to arial black, type CHOCOLATE MONSTER MUFFINS, MONSTER MIX, CREEPY CORN.
  6. Adjust text to fit inside the 3 vase image.
  7. Attach texts together.
  8. Cut with the Cricut using black vinyl for the text and cardstock for the bottle.
  9. Follow on-screen instructions.
  10. Apply vinyl to cardstock using transfer tape.
  11. Hole punch finished tags.

JAR 1 CHOCOLATE MONSTER MUFFINS:
  1. Use your own muffin mix of choice, candy eyes, then layer the dry ingredients and using the back side of the tag to add any wet ingredient direction and personalized note.
  2. Use halloween ribbon to tie the tag around the neck of the mason jar after ingredients are inside.

JAR 2 MONSTER MIX:
  1. Use pretzels, halloween colored M&Ms, candy corn, and any other trail mix choice favorite.
  2. Mis together in a bowl and add to the jar.
  3. Use Halloween ribbon to tie the tag around the neck of the mason jar.

JAR 3 CREEPY CORN:
  1. Spread caramel corn over wax paper, and in a bowl heat chocolate with a double boiler or microwave safe bowl.
  2. Drizzle chocolate over caramel corn and sprinkle candy eyes on the chocolate.
  3. Let cool, and let chocolate dry completely before putting in the jar.
  4. Put some loose candy eyes in the jar as well.
  5. Use halloween riven to tie the tag around the neck of the mason jar.
  6. Follow on-screen instructions.

JOANN HACKS:

  • While layering ingredients in the muffin mix, start with something dark, then light, then dark, to help your ingredients stand out.
  • Place candy eyes on wet chocolate so they don't all fall to the bottom of the jar.
