DIRECTIONS:
To find the downloadable patterns click on the "GET PATTERNS" tab above.- Remove the glass and backer from the frame.
- Move to a well-ventilated area and spray the part of the backer that goes on the inside of the frame with spray adhesive.
- Apply the fabric to the spray adhesive side of the backer piece and cut around the outside with scissors. Set aside.
- Measure along the long side of the frame, place a mark at 1" and then measure how much is left. Divide the rest by 5 and then mark each point out. There should be 5 total marks on each long side. Make sure to measure down on each side so the 1" are across from each other and then they line up as they go down.
- At each point hammer in gently an upholstery tack about 1/2 way to there's enough still sticking out to tie your string to.
- Touch up each tack by coloring it gold with your gold paint pen and set aside to dry.
- To print the templates, click on the "GET PATTERNS" tab above.
- To make the envelopes use the template provided.
- Cut, fold and glue to create each envelope, you will need 25 total. (*Fill your envelope with notes or special greetings before sealing them)
- Create 25 white 1.5" punches with the circle punch, write the numbers 1-25 on each circle with a gold paint pen.
- Glue the circle over the flap to seal the envelope closed from peeking eyes.
- Tie the twine on one side of the frame onto the tack, double knot to secure. Pull securely across and tie to the tack on the opposite side. Double knot and cut off any excess.
- Repeat down the frame so you have 5 twines tied across the frame. The twine hanging 1" below the top frame is the top.
- Hang 1-5 on the first string with clips, then repeat going down placing 5 envelopes on each level.
JOANN HACKS:
- If you need help holding the small tacks either gently push them into the frame to start them or use needle nose pliers to hold them while hammering.
