- Choose 3-5 colors to make your spiral lanyard, and cut those the same length.
- Cut strands and tie them together with an overhand knot at one end.
- Tape the knot to a table.
- Decide which color you want to begin your spiral, this will be your working strand.
- Take the working strand and pass it over the other strands and loop it back through to make a knot. Pull this knot to the top.
- Repeat step 6 for 7-15 times or until desired length of that color.
- Decide on your second color for the spiral and repeat steps 6 and 7.
- Continue until you reach the desired length changing colors of your choice.
- NOTE: as you make these knots, the pattern will spiral on its own.
- Once you have desired length, make another overhand knot at the end and attach the lanyard clip.
