SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

- Back Flannel Fabric (for the side with fringe)
- Ruler or Measuring Tape
- Seam Ripper
- Embroidery Scissors
- Straight Pins
DIRECTIONS:
NOTE: 1/2" seam allowances- Cut the Back fabric 17 1/2" x 96"
- Cut the front fabric 16 1/2" x 95"
- Iron 1/2" under all of the edges of the front fabric
- Lay the front fabric down on the back, leaving 1" of the back exposed around all sides, and pin together.
- Sew the pieces together around all sides, near the folded edge.
- To create fringe, remove the threads on the edges that go the long direction on the long side & short direction on the short side, until you reach the sewing line.
- This will take some time to unravel the thread to make fringe.
JOANN HACKS:
- Pinning perpendicular to the seam you are sewing lets you pull out the pins quickly as you sew.
- To remove the thread to make the fringe I cut the threads with embroidery scissors every about 12" so I could remove the threads in shorter lengths.
- You can also use a seam ripper to separate the threads and pull them loose enough to grab.
