How To Get It
The Gamblin Gamvar Satin Picture Varnish saturates and gives greater depth to the colors in your painting and gives your work a unified and protective matte, semi-gloss or satin surface. Developed in collaboration with the National Gallery of Art, Gamvar goes on water-clear, stays water-clear and can be easily and safely removed with Gamsol. It is virtually odorless and ready to apply. It can be applied when the thickest areas of your painting are thoroughly dry and firm to the touch.

Gambling Gamvar art varnish
I use the Gamar varnish for my oil paintings. As advertised on the label, you get the finish you want.
I dribble an estimated amount in a variety of plastic, shallow clean vessels, left over from food products and apply a thin coat with a soft bush angling the light to see it has flowed into deeper areas sometimes caused the relief of heavy paint. The Gamvar flows easily making coverage rapid and even. Clean up of the bush is also easily accomplished with a little mineral spirits followed by soap and water. Drys in a day or two depending on the weather adding
clarity and depth to the painting.

Saint Picture Varnish
This was my first time buying a satin coat for my paintings and I was scared it would ruin my paintings but it did not and it made my paintings look like it has fresh paint on them. I love this product and I will soon be buy more once I ran out. I higky recommend this product :))
