SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup firmly-packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven 350F. Prepare giant cookie pan with vegetable pan spray.
- In medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
- In large bowl, beat butter and sugars with electric mixer on medium high speed until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix until smooth. Add flour; mix until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread dough into prepared pan.
- Bake 18-22 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool in pan on cooling grid 5 minutes. Remove from pan and let cool completely. Decorate, if desired.
- Makes about 8-10 servings.
