Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup firmly-packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven 350F. Prepare giant cookie pan with vegetable pan spray.

  2. In medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.

  3. In large bowl, beat butter and sugars with electric mixer on medium high speed until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix until smooth. Add flour; mix until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread dough into prepared pan.

  4. Bake 18-22 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool in pan on cooling grid 5 minutes. Remove from pan and let cool completely. Decorate, if desired.

  5. Makes about 8-10 servings.
