SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Felt sheets
- Embroidery floss
- Embroidery needles
- Buttons
- Tassels
- Scissors
DIRECTIONS:
- Measure the gift card you would like to use your envelope for. Standard gift cards are 3.375"x 2.125".
- Make the base of your gift card envelope by cutting a rectangle slightly larger than your gift card. For example, if you have a standard gift card size you would cut a piece of felt that is 4"x 3".
- Decide what you would like the front of the gift card envelope to look like and make sure that the overall dimensions match the base you just cut. You can use one piece of felt for the front or many! The design is up to you.
- If desired, use your embroidery floss, buttons, or tassels to decorate the piece(s) of felt.
- Once you are happy with your design you’ll want to join the front of the felt envelope to the back using your needle and embroidery floss.
- Line up the edges of the front and back and use whatever stitch you would like (from a standard stitch to a blanket stitch) to mend the two pieces of felt together.
- Add your gift card, and you’re all done!
