Great scissors

Knife edge appliqué scissors

Very sharp!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are very sharp and seem durable. The finger holes are a bit small. this makes it a bit awkward to cut and leaves marks on my fingers where stop because of the pressure needed to use them. These are great for tight awkward spaces where you need to cut or trim something though.. They are great for short spurts of use.

Awesome Appliqué Scissor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife loves to sew. When I saw these Gingher Knife Edge Appliqué Scissors, I knew I had to get them for her. The duckbill blade on one of the arms of the scissors lifts the fabric to be cut for a precisely controlled cut near the seams. My wife found the scissors to be well balanced and easy to control. The hand finished knife edge cuts flawlessly and effortlessly according to my wife. This professional scissor is made in Italy and comes with a lifetime warranty! These scissors are 6”. My wife loves these Gingher Knife Edge Appliqué Scissors and wholeheartedly recommends them!

Great scissors.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If as a hobby, you like to cut thick fabric, this is the scissors for you. Usually with the wrong type of scissors, thicker material such as rugs get caught in the scissors and ruin them. I had no problems with these. They were precise and quick. They are easy to handle and your fingers are not awkward or stiff when using them. I used the product to make a thick blanket so I needed them to cut some material. I had no problems and I worked even quicker because of the scissors.

Small but Mighty

I tried using them with both hands and had no difficulty with right vs left (that's plus). The scissors cut like butter so you don't have to worry about them getting stuck onto anything just glides right through.

Gingher scissors are the best

Useful for embroidery

The duckbill blade is ideal for lifting fabric away to be trimmed for flawless controlled cuts close to the stitching. An occasional drop of oil in the pivot area will facilitate smooth cutting action. Make sure to wipe inner blade surfaces with a dry cloth to remove lint. These are very useful to the quilter.

I never knew scissors like these existed until I started making in the hoop teddy bears. I watched a video on how to make them and the person in the video used this scissor. It's the greatest, gets you right up close to the applique.

A Must for Applique
These scissors are one of those things that you didn't know you needed until you have one! They are very sharp and cut so precisely, which I was nervous about, but to my delight these are great at trimming applique edges.
The only con I could note is that they weighty and a little stiff when cutting, which might be uncomfortable for some hands to handle for a long period of time. However for me, the stiffness was an asset as it helped me trim close to seams slowly and carefully.

These scissors are absolutely the best scissors I could have bought for doing machine applique. They cut close to the stitching without fear of cutting the garment being appliqued. They are so sharp and glide through the fabric so quickly, that my trimming time is reduced tremendously. The curved handles are great for maneuvering around the embroidery hoop. i love these scissors.

Great glass pins
I bought these winderful glass pins to shape lace. Since you have to iron over the pins, the plastic ones melt. Irkned over glass pins. They held up like a charm and they’re pretty, pretty.

Excellent for all applique
With all of the applique work I do on quilts, these are the best scissors. They make the applique process so much simpler. These scissors get right up next to the fabric without cutting holes in the fabric. They are so sharp that they cut threads to the miniscule. I highly recommend them.

No more accidents!
This how you grade seams! No more accidental snips in your garment. I now have one at each machine. Definitely worth the investment. The “duck bill” holds the seam allowance flat while you trim away.
