Glow In The Dark Crochet Ghost Garland

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• 1 skein of Lion Brand DIY Glow: Natural Ecru
• 1 skein of Big Twist Value: Bobble Garland
• Crochet hook, 5.00mm/ US H or size needed to obtain gauge
• Black felt
• Hot glue gun/glue gun sticks
• Fabric stiffener
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle
• Scrap cardboard 5"x 5"

• Finished garland measures 6'

• One ghost = 2 1/2"x 3 1/2"

For the Ghost Garland:
The garland is created in two halves along one base chain. The base chain is made first, then turned. Next, the bottom half of the ghosts are made along the base chain. The piece is then rotated and worked from the other side of the base chain to create the top half of the ghosts. Both ghost halves will be worked right side up.

Ch 244. Turn.
Bottom Row: Sl st in second ch from hook, sl st in next 2 ch, *ch 9, [working down the ch 9 into the back bumps of the chain, sl st in 3rd st from hook, hdc, dc, tr 4], sk 3 ch, sl st in next 6 ch, rep from * until there are 6 sts left, rep inside [] once more, sk 3 ch, sl st in last 3 sts
Rotate piece and work next row on the opposite side of the chain.
Top Row: Ch 1, sl st in 3, *ch 6, [dc in 3rd ch from hook, tr 3], sk 3 ch, sl st in next 6 sts, rep from* until 6 sts left, rep inside [] once more, sk 3 ch, sl st in last 3 sts.
Tie off yarn and weave in ends.
Spray or soak ghost garland in fabric stiffener, blotting off excess. Arrange to dry in final shape.
Once dry, cut 3 small circles out of black felt for each ghost. Hot glue them for the face of each ghost.

For the Bobble Garland:
Bobble st: (yo, insert hook into st, draw up a loop, pull loop through two loops on hook) five times, yo, pull through all 6 loops on hook. The next sl st in the row will make the bobble pop.
Ch 253. Turn.
Row 1: sl st in second ch from hook, sl st in next 9 ch, bobble st, *sl st in next 10 ch, bobble st, repeat from * until there are 10 chs left, sl st in last 10 ch.
Tie off yarn and weave in ends.
