DESCRIPTION +

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Simplicity BP293 + pattern required materials or upcycle a white dress
  • Ghost face template
  • 1 8 ½” x 11” sheet of sparkly black felt
  • Sewing machine
  • Glow in the Dark Tulle
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Iron
  • 1 Pkg. white double fold bias tape

    Upcycle Version
  1. Using an upcycled white dress for your base
  2. Add a layer of glow in the dark tulle to the skirt of the dress you can attach this by sewing or using fabric tack
  3. Cut “ghost face” out of felt, and hand-tack to front of dress.

    Pattern Version
  1. Sew BP293 in size needed with view C bodice and view B skirt, omitting sleeves. After basting arm lining to fashion fabric, finish raw edge by using bias tape as a facing.
  2. Cut “ghost face” out of felt, and hand-tack to front of dress.

    Bow
  1. Cut 1 60” x 10” rectangle of tulle and 3” x 4” rectangle out of satin.
  2. Sew satin rectangle long, wrong sides together (1/2” seam allowance) to form a tube.
  3. Press seam open and turn tube right-side out.
  4. Fold tulle in half (short ends together) three times. Pinch center of tulle rectangle and wrap satin tube around. Hand sew in place.
