Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful detailed stocking I have worked six counted cross stitch stockings and this is one of my favorites. The detail and textures are wonderful. It took several enjoyable months to complete and the result is beautiful. I lined it with cotton and backed it with velvet. The aida is a little narrow for keeping the fabric tight in the hoop when working near the edges, but it worked out and I had plenty of thread left over.

The felt for the backing was too thin, so I purchased satin fabric to finish it. Towards the end, I ran low on some major colors, which unfortunately, aren't coordinated with the same numbers as DNC Floss sold at JoAnn so I had to improvise.

Some of the stitches I had never used before this project, but I completed it in a few months and the finished project is just beautiful! This is one of my favorites!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful project! I made this for my daughter, and I love it! It turned out so beautifully. It's a difficult cross stitch but well worth it. The backing is flimsy felt, however, so I bought a different fabric to back it. Otherwise, I highly recommend it!

It took sevreal months working on it on and off, but if you love to cross stitch and want a beautiful stocking this is a good choice.
