Small Mushroom Base Pattern:
Round 1: Create a magic loop, 8sc into magic loop. (8 sts)
Note: work each round continuously, using a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each new round.
Round 2: 2sc into each st around. (16 sts)
Round 3: *sc in next st, 2sc in next st, rep from * around. (24 sts)
Round 4: sc in each st around.
Round 5: repeat round 4.
Round 6: *sc2tog, sc in next 2 sts, rep from * around. (18 sts)
Round 7: repeat round 4.
Round 8: repeat round 6. (13 sts)
Rounds 9-12: repeat round 4.
Round 13: repeat round 2. (26 sts)
Round 14: repeat round 3. (39 sts)
Rounds 15-18: repeat round 4.
Stuff the stem of the mushroom with fiberfill.
Round 19: *sc2tog, sc in next 4 sts, rep from * around. (32 sts)
Round 20: *sc2tog, sc in next 3 sts, rep from * around. (25 sts)
Round 21: *sc2tog, sc in next 2 sts, rep from * around. (18 sts)

Tie off with a long tail. Use the tail to cinch the hole closed.

Small Mushroom Top:
Round 1: Create a magic loop, ch 3 (counts as first dc), 11dc into loop, sl st into top of ch 3. Pull magic loop closed. (12 sts)
Tie off yarn color 1.
Attach next color to any space between dc sts.
Round 2: [ch 3, dc] into first space, *2dc in space between next dc sts, rep from * around, sl st into top of ch 3. (24 sts)
Tie off yarn color 2.
Attach next color to any space between any 2dc pairs.
Round 3: [ch 3, 2dc] into first space between dc pairs, *3dc in next space between 2dc pairs, rep from * to end of round, sl st into top of ch 3. (36 sts)
Tie off yarn color 3.
Attach next color to any space between 3dc sets.
