DIRECTIONS:
- Remove clothes pins from frame. Apply a small amount of stain to the clothes pins using a dry brush technique. Set aside to dry. Hold the cardstock, flush to the frame, lined up with one mitered corner. Apply a small amount of stain to the frame using a dry brush technique. Start brush stroke 1" on top of the card stock and brush short of opposite mitered corner. Place the cardstock on the opposite corner and repeat the dry brush stain application to complete one side of the frame. Repeat for other sides. Let dry.
- Wind a tight spiral of wire around the first 1' of garland starting at the stem. Avoid catching any leaves in the spiral. Staple the wire with garland, 2" from the stem end, to the outside edge of the frame. Use pliers to bend the end of wire over the staple. Use wire cutters to cut off any excess stem. Tap the staple in to secure.
- Continue attaching the wire and garland around the frame every 9". Spiral the wire around the garland. Adjust the direction of the leaf sprays prior to stapling. Keep the garland in an irregular pattern stapled to the front and outside edge of the frame. Overlap the beginning of the second garland with the first. Keep the staples 1" from the mitered corner. Tap the staples in fully to secure.
- Cut the lower silk leaves from the Tweedia branches. Hot glue the leaves over the staples. Leave the tips of the leaves without glue.
- Cut sections of the Tweedia and place in a random pattern throughout the garland. Intertwine the flowers and stems. Hot glue the stems next to the wire/garland stem. Hot glue leaves over the Tweedia stems to further secure to the frame. Cut individual flower heads close to the back. Hot glue flower heads tucked between the greenery, directly onto the frame.
- Remove any wisps of hot glue that remain.
- Pinch clothes pins to twine.
