I did read the reviews on invisible thread before purchasing this one in Smoke. It went well with the turquoise and purple embroidered trim I used to sew on a blouse. At first I had trouble with the thread catching onto the spindle of my sewing machine, under the spool, like another reviewer did. The thread is like the consistency of straight hair coming off the spool. I made a makeshift barrier so the thread wouldn’t bounce back and wrap around under the spool. (See photo) Overall, once the invisible thread was machine sewed onto the trim and fabric, you couldn’t tell it was there unless you looked really closely. So far it’s held up. (I can’t remember, but I think I used regular Gutermann thread in the bobbin.) I would definitely use this invisible thread in future projects.

Lovely thread to work with
I use this thread mostly for attaching cording and other things when I do not want the thread to show. Easy to work with. It does not fight you like other clear threads do.

Best of the bunch
I prefer this thread above all others. It is easy to handle even with arthritic hands. Some are so stretchy they are impossible to work with with. Always disappointed when they are out of stock at my local Joann. Order online.
