Loving It
I am working on a big project of making lots of cushions using upholstery fabric. I was unsure this would work, but it is great. Using 18 gauge needles on my Brother sewing machine. It is heavy duty and strong. Yep. I made a few mistakes and had to rip a few seams. That thread is tough.

Very dissapointed!
I am reupholstering an old chair and wanted to do it right using upholstery fabric, upholstery thread, etc. so the finished product would hold up for years, which is why I chose this thread. It will hardly work in my little used old Brother Riviera machine. the thread constantly breaks, I can hardly sew a couple inches without a strand or two breaking and the bottom thread messing up. I bought some upholstery needles (#16 and #18) to use with this thread when I bought it (I'm using the #18). When I first put it in the machine I sewed some tests to check the tension and adjusted it. the results, when I sewed on the project, was as stated above. I don't believe it is the machine since a year ago I turned some hand towels into wash clothes with no problems (I sewed a hem on the terry cloth fabric 3 layers thick) using regular thread. This thread is heay duty, tho.

Although I was seriously frustrated with the shredding I experienced, I was using a regular needle. Since I changed to a needle with a larger eye (top stitch 16/100 in my case, although I’d think most any needle of appropriate size with a larger eye would work), the thread has been flawless for my project.
Therefore, if you use a larger eye needle you should be happy with the thread.

Shreds from spool
Frustrated is an understatement. 100% poly thread shreds as it gets to the needle. Have tried on two machines (Destiny II and brother NS1750D). Using size 16 needles (new on each machine). Two different spools of white. It’s a pain to have to eagle eye as it goes thru needle and then rethread. Btw, bought both spools fall 2018 and keep my threads out of direct sun so shouldn’t be bad less than a year later. Grrrrrr will hope just bad batch since I’ve got more seats to recover
