Halloween Hand Pies

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Favorite Pie Filling, Pumpkin, Apple or Blackberry
  • Favorite Pie Dough Recipe
  • STIR™ Mini Pie Presses
  • Fall Cookie Presses
  • Parchment Paper
  • Rolling Pin
  • Paring Knife
  • One Egg (for egg wash)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Rollout crust on parchment paper. Gently press pie dough into one side of each mini pie press.
  2. Fill the same side of the mini pie press with filling.
  3. Mix egg in bowl and with a clean pastry brush cover the edges of the pie.
  4. Place more dough on top of pie filling. Close pie press and remove excess dough
  5. Gently pop hand pie out of mold. Lightly cover hand pie with egg wash.
  6. Use excess dough and cookie presses to make fun fall shapes onto pies. Attach with egg wash before baking.
  7. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
