SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Wilton size 4 round tart pans
- Pie crust
- Pumpkin pie filling
- Rolling pin
- Flour
- Small Wilton Halloween cookie cutters
- Toothpicks
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Roll out pie dough to completely cover the bottom of the tart pan, press into pan bottom and sides. Use a fork to poke holes through crust.
- Make pie filling by following your favorite pumpkin pie filling recipe.
- Use the remainder of pie dough and mini cookie cutters to make cute Halloween characters on top of your mini pies.
- Use a toothpick to create eyes on the bat and cat and faces on the ghost, pumpkins and skulls. We also used toothpicks to lightly press the skulls mouth as well as the imprint on the witch's hat. To get the curves on the pumpkin lightly press the pumpkin cookie cutter into dough and repeat along the pumpkin.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes then at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
