- Fabric, 100% Cotton Flannel

- Thread, 100% Cotton
- Iron

- Rice, Flaxseed or Kernel Corn
- Funnel
- Chopstick or Dowel
DIRECTIONS:
To find the downloadable patterns click on the "GET PATTERNS" tab above.- Print heart template.
- Fold fabric in half, right sides together to cut two hearts.
- Sew around edge using 1/4" seam allowance, leaving opening to turn.
- Trim edges to 1/8" except at opening.
- Clip seam allowance at center top of heart close to seam.
- Turn right sides out.
- Fold in opening to match seam.
- Press. Use funnel to fill with approximately 2oz of rice or other filler.
- Hand stitch opening closed.
- For square hand warmers cut one fabric 4"x 7 3/4".
- Fold right sides together to 4"x 3 3/4".
- Sew around edges using 1/4" seam allowance leaving 1 1/4" from one corner, next to the fold, open to turn.
- Trim across corners. Turn right sides out.
- Fold in opening to match seam. Press.
- Use funnel to fill with approximately 4 oz of rice or other filler.
- Hand stitch opening closed.
- Heat hand warmer in microwave for 30 seconds to warm.
