SUMMARY: This is a quick project worked in the round. First, a flat oval-shaped base is crocheted using a single crochet and increases. After the base is created, the sides are worked in the round in moss/granite stitch - creating a sturdy structure. The project is worked continuously in the round (no flipping or turning work, just rotating) - a marker is used to denote the end of each row.
Start with smaller hook. Make a slip knot and CH 6, holding both the tail and working yarn together.
With only the working yarn, SC 2 into the second chain from the hook, place marker in first stitch created (this will tell you where your rows start and end, you will transfer to last ST at end of row), SC 3, SC 4 into end ST, SC 3 back across other side of chain, SC 2 in first ST. TM to last ST in row. (14 ST)
Without ending row, continue working around perimeter of base. SC 2 in ST, SC 3, SC 2 in ST, SC 2 in ST, SC 3, SC 2in ST. TM to last ST. (+8, 22 ST total)

Continuing in moss ST - SC 1 into hole from last row, skip 1 CH & CH 1, *SC into next hole, skip 1 CH & CH 1.* Continue to repeat in the round for about 19 rows or until the sleeve just touches top of desired bar of soap. Transfer marker as you work.

- Fill the mold to the top with another color to give it three different layers and colors.
- When the molds are cooled, gently push the soaps out of the molds while pushing around each edge evenly.
- To get a pretty finished look, cut the top edges with the soap cutter.
JOANN HACKS:
