DIRECTIONS:
- Choose what card size/color you’d like to use as your base.
- Decide whether you want to cover up the base card entirely or use it as part of your design
- There are a variety of materials and tools to use. Here are a few examples:
- Find a holiday fabric or paper you like and create holiday imagery with them.
- Use the adhesive foam sheets to cut out candy cane stripes and adhere to a backer (this can be a sturdy piece of foam, cardboard, or wood block). Use a red stamp pad to dab the ink onto the stripes and you’ve made a custom stamp.
- Use paint markers to draw snowflakes on the card background before adding another design element on top.
- Do you want your card to say something? You can do so by creating a custom stamp with adhesive foam. Or collage together paper and fabric in your favorite patterns.
- There are endless possibilities so have fun with it. Everyone appreciates a DIY card.
JOANN HACKS:
- you can carve the adhesive foam and create a reusable stamp by adhering the back of the foam to a hard surface like plywood.
- You can also use textured paper to create a different result with your stamp.
