DIRECTIONS:
- Cut a piece of muslin and cotton batting to 32"x 42". Place the muslin on top of the batting and baste them together along the entire edge.
- Use a water soluble marker to draw out lines or a design to be hand sewn onto the muslin fabric.
- Hand sew along the lines with a running stitch, working through both the muslin and the batting.
- When the hand sewing is complete, wet the fabric to remove the marker lines. Allow to dry.
- Place the patterned fabric on the muslin, right sides facing. Sew along the edge leaving 1" seams and leaving a hole for turning.
- Turn the blanket right side out, and iron the edges flat.
- Topstitch around the edge of the blanket.
- Use the embroidery thread to stitch along the edge of the blanket with an overcast stitch.
