Hanging Rain Clouds Party Decor

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Foam core
• Hot glue gun
• Scissors
• X-Acto® knife and blades
• Templates
• White wrapping paper
• Tissue paper (white or silver)
• White string
• White fringe paper garland

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut one cloud out of foam core, according to template, with the X-Acto blade. To print the templates, click on the "Download Project PDF" button (above). If the template is too large, tape two pieces of foam core together to create a large single piece.
2. Glue the fringe paper garland in rows, starting 2" from bottom. Glue around round of the cloud.

Large pom poms:

1. Cut five 12" squares of wrapping paper.
2. Cut seven 12" squares out of tissue paper.
3. Layer tissue and wrapping paper, starting with the tissue paper.
4. Fold in a 1" accordion style fold.
5. Tie in the middle.
6. Trim to round edges.
7. Pull up toward middle, one layer at a time.
8. Fluff.

Medium pom poms:

1. Cut four 9" squares of wrapping paper.
2. Cut six 9" squares out of tissue paper.
3. Layer tissue and wrapping paper, starting with the tissue paper.
4. Fold in a 1" accordion style fold.
5. Tie in the middle.
6. Trim to round edges.
7. Pull up toward middle, one layer at a time.
8. Fluff.

Small pom poms:

1. Cut three 6" squares of wrapping paper.
2. Cut five 6" squares out of tissue paper.
3. Layer tissue and wrapping paper, starting with the tissue paper.
4. Fold in a 1" accordion style fold.
5. Tie in the middle.
6. Trim to round edges.
7. Pull up toward middle, one layer at a time.
8. Fluff.

1. Glue or pin randomly on cloud.
2. Cut two each of the large raindrop template.
3. Glue string to back of one droplet.
4. Glue the other droplet on top of the first, sandwiching the string between.
5. Repeat every 10", alternating large and small droplets.
6. Glue to back of cloud at desired length.
7. Repeat two more times.
