FOR SEWING:
  1. Cut (1) 40"x 26" rectangle from duck cloth. Finish 2 long edges and one short edge by folding under 1/2" then 1/2" again and stitching in place. Along unfinish edge, fold under 1/2" then 2" and stitch close to the first fold edge to create a dowel rod pocket.
  2. Attach large pom pom trim 4" below the stitched line of dowel rod pocket, and another row of pom-pom trim 1 1/2" above the bottom hem line.
  3. For pockets, fuse light weight interfacing to wrong side of all pockets. For pocket A cut (1) 7"x 8" rectangle; for pocket B cut (1) 9"x 12" rectangle; for pocket C cut (1) 7"x 8" rectangle; for pocket D cut (1) 11"x 7" rectangle; for pocket E cut (1) 9"x 7" rectangle; for pocket F cut (1) 11"x 7" rectangle; for pocket G cut (1) 14"x 7" rectangle; and for pocket H cut (1) 9"x 7" rectangle.
  4. Finish the top edge of all pockets by folding under 1/4" then 1/4" again and stitching in place. Fold under 1/4" then 1/4" again and press remaining 3 sides of each pocket. Pin in place to duck cloth using Placement Template A as a guide. There should be 1" spacing around each pocket.
  5. Cut (1) and (1) REVERSE of each pocket flap using Pattern Templates A, B, F, G, and H. Fuse lightweight interfacing to the wrong side of (1) of each pocket flap. With right sides together, sew around the bottom edges of each pocket flap, leaving the upper edge open to turn. Turn right side out and press. For pocket flap A, attach small pom-pom trim around bottom edge of flap.
  6. Pin each pocket flap above the corresponding pocket using Placement Guide A. Tuck unfinished edge of pocket flaps 1/4" below the finished edge of pockets, centering from left to right. Pocket flaps should be in the open position. Fold back the pocket front and sew flap in place across unfinished edge.
  7. Unfold pocket front to cover edge of pocket flap just sewn in place. Top stitch 3 sides of each pocket in place 1/8" away from folded edge. Fold pocket flap down and press in place.
  8. For pocket A closure, cut (1) 4" piece of ribbon, fold in half and tach in place to bottom point of flap A. Attach a button to pocket A where flap folds down to meet.
  9. Do the same for pocket G, using different ribbon and buttons.
  10. For pocket F, attach a button to the bottom of flap and to the pocket where the flap folds down to meet. Attach an 8" piece of ribbon to bottom point of flap. Wind ribbon in a figure 8 around the two buttons to close.
