This high-density foam is long lasting and conforms to the California Bureau of Home Furnishings Fire Retardant Code 117-2013. It is made of polyurethane foam.

Because of the 3 inch death, I used an electric carving knife to cut the foam into the shapes I needed. It came out beautifully . I am so pleased with my finished project and would recommend this foam

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Be careful cutting! I wish I had read the advice to use a carving knife to cut this foam! I tried to pinch it with a yardstick and cut it with a utility knife, my first cut looked terrible. A carving knife works perfectly. Please bear in mind this isn't really an upholstery foam. What I mean by that, if you are making a bench cushion for a solid topped bench or something like that, you will want something of a higher density than this foam. This is more of a craft foam for something like a headboard or a decorative ottoman. Bottom line, this is great foam but does not work well for bearing bodyweight, it would work great for a chair back but not for the seat.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked for me! I picked up some of this 3" foam from the remnants in-store and it worked well for my project. I need to figure out a better way to cut foam this thick cause it's hard to get a straight line through 3" of foam with a bread knife.
