DIRECTIONS:

  1. Prep blue cardstock for heat embossing by brushing it with the We R Memory Keepers Powder Tool. Stamp using the "Hello" wood stamp onto prepped surface with embossing ink twice, one directly below the other. Because this stamp has a lot of flourish around the sentiment, stamping it twice will allow for a larger strip when trimming later.
  2. Sprinkle white embossing powder over the stamped images, shake off the excess, and then use the heat gun to go over the image until the embossing powder is smooth and melted. Trim blue embossed cardstock with a banner at the bottom. From the remaining piece, punch a heart with the "Hello" in the center as well as two smaller plain blue hearts.
  3. Stamp cardinal onto watercolor cardstock with Versafine Black Onyx Ink. Watercolor as desired, let dry, and then trim.
  4. Stamp wreath onto card base with mustard ink (or any color that matches your card) in the center toward the left.
  5. Assemble card using 1 1/2"x 4 1/4" strip of paper (stitched if desired) from the Heidi Swapp Artwalk Paper Pad and a thin strip of coral cardstock, layering the blue "Hello" embossed banner beneath them. Add the cardinal stamped and water colored image to the left of the banner so it looks like it is resting in the wreath.
  6. To finish the card, tie gold string or twine into bows to tuck and adhere behind the bird. Add punched hearts from step 2, adding glossy accents to the smaller hearts and the bird’s eye if desired.
