Hero Arts March 2022 Card Kit – Sending a Little Buzz Card

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Hero Arts Acrylic Stamping Blocks
• Hero Arts Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink
• Clear Embossing Powder
• White Cardstock
• Watercolor Paints
• Paintbrush
• Paper Trimmer
• Heat Tool
• Foam Adhesive
• Tape Runner or Liquid Adhesive

DIRECTIONS:

1. Trim a piece of White cardstock to 5.5" x 8.5". Fold in half to create card base.
2. Trim a piece of Mustard cardstock to 4" x 5.25". Stamp the Abstract Honeycomb Bold Prints background stamp using Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. Sprinkle on Gold Embossing Powder and heat emboss with heat tool.
3. Trim a 4" x 2.25" piece of Black cardstock. Adhere to the bottom portion of the stamped background panel using a tape runner or liquid adhesive.
4. Tie a piece of twine around the panel and adhere to card base with foam adhesive.
5. Stamp sentiment on white cardstock with Onyx Pigment Ink. Trim to hexagon shape. Adhere to card with foam adhesive.
6. Stamp bees with Onyx Pigment Ink. Use heat tool to dry ink. Color with watercolors.
7. Use coordinating Frame Cuts to die-cut the bees and adhere to card with foam adhesive.
8. Embellish with a scattering of black pearls.

JOANN HACKS:

• Pigment inks stay wet longer on paper than dye inks. Use your heat tool to dry the ink to avoid smearing.
• Use an anti-static powder tool when heat embossing to avoid embossing powder sticking in unwanted places.
