  • 1 1/2 yds Fusible Fleece Interfacing
  • 1 yd Elastic or Thin Ponytail Holders
  • Assorted buttons
  • Velcro
  • Basic Sewing Supplies

DIRECTIONS:

NOTE: This sleeve fits a 12 oz foam cup. Adjust size of templates by adding or subtracting lengths and widths.
  1. For each sleeve cut out 2 - main fabrics, 1 - interfacing.
  2. For sleeve with handle - cut 1 - 2 1/2" x 5 1/2" from fabric and 1 - 1" x 5 1/2" from fleece interfacing.
  3. For sleeve with handle, iron interfacing to one sleeve.
  4. Iron interfacing to handle 1/4" in from edge.
  5. Fold handle in half lengthwise with RST and stitch 1/4" seam on side leaving both ends open.
  6. Turn and press. Top stitch close to each long edge.
  7. Pin to right side of sleeve about 2 1/2" from edge and baste in place.
  8. Cut two pieces of elastic 4". Fold in half and stitch in place on edge of sleeve having cut edges in seam allowance.
  9. Layer second sleeve piece on top with RST.
  10. Stitch 1/4" seam around leaving an opening for turning. Turn and press.
  11. Top stitch around the outside of sleeve.
  12. Place sleeve around cup and mark the placement for buttons.
  13. For the cup sleeve without handle, just omit this step and sew the elastic on and finish with buttons.
  14. For the smaller cup sleeve, omit the handle and elastic steps put around cup overlapping edges and mark where the Velcro pieces will go. Stitch Velcro on to ends.
