Holiday Floral Gift Toppers 3 Ways

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Wreath Gift Topper: Long Stem Pine Bush with Pinecones on Tips of branches, 1 for one 8"-9" Diameter Wreath
• Fabric Wrap and Gift Topper: Pine Bush and Berries
• Gift Topper with Ribbon: Pine Bush with Pinecones
• Cardboard, Scrap

DIRECTIONS:

1. Wrap package with brown craft paper.
2. Add a band of 1 1/2" sheer ribbon down the center of the box overlapping in the back.
3. Attach with Fabric Fuse.
4. Cut pine bush into separate stems.
5. Spiral two stems together to create an 8"-9" circle.
6. Spiral additional stems around two original stems to fill out wreath.
7. Set pinecones equidistant around wreath. Add additional pinecones if desired.
8. Larger wreaths may be made with additional stems.
9. Lay wreath centered on top of package. Measure for contrast ribbon and wire attachment.
10. These will be placed on either side of the wreath and will overlap at the center back of the box. Use sewing tape to measure around one side of wreath to the center of the back.
11. Cut two wire and two contrast ribbon to length plus 2".
12. Attach wires to opposite sides of the wreath. Place one end through center of wreath.
13. Spiral ends together close to wreath. Tuck ends into back of wreath.
14. Place tape on the backs of one end of contrast ribbon.
15. Place tape end of ribbon through front center of wreath.
16. Wrap ribbon snug, centered over wire. Press ribbon together at the tape end.
17. Place wreath on front of package centered on sheer ribbon.
18. Pull the contrast ribbon (attached to the wreath) to lay centered on the sheer ribbon.
19. Place small pieces of tape on the back of the contrast ribbon just over the sides of the box.
20. Press in place. Flip the box over and place tape on the back of the ends of the ribbon.
21. Overlap the ends and press in place.

1. Measure box.
2. Fabric needed 2 1/2x the size of the box plus 4".
3. Cut a square of cotton fabric. Double fold the sides 1/2" then 1/2".
4. Press.
5. Topstitch.
6. Place the fabric on a flat surface, points to the sides and top and bottom.
7. Place box RSU centered on fabric, corners of box pointing toward centers of sides of fabric.
8. Pull up two opposite corners of fabric. Lift the box to center on fabric.
9. Repeat with other two corners of fabric.
10. Pull the two corners of fabric tight across box and double knot.
11. Spread the tails of the knot WSU.
12. Bring the other two sides of fabric together, pull tight to center, settling the fabric across edges of box.
13. Double knot. Take one tail up and over knot and tuck into lower portion of knot.
14. Repeat for the other tail. Lift one lower knot tail up and over the top knot.
15. Spread out evenly over knot. Tuck point under knot.
16. Repeat.
17. Separate small stems of greenery and berry picks.
18. Arrange a small grouping to fit under one side of fabric knot on box.
19. Keep length of stems to ensure that the arrangement will stay secure on box.
20. Wire together grouping.
21. Fit under knot.
22. Adjust length of stems.
23. Wrap stems with floral tape to finish.
24. Tuck arrangement under knot.

1. Wrap package with brown craft paper.
2. Add a band of 1 1/2" sheer ribbon over the front of the box overlapping in the back.
3. Attach with Fabric Fuse.
4. Add a band of 5/8" contrast ribbon down center of sheer ribbon overlapping in the back.
5. Attach with Fabric Fuse.
6. Repeat opposite direction.
7. Arrange pine spray.
8. Cut small sections of pine bush.
9. Remove pinecones.
10. Cut one long length of floral wire.
11. Spiral wire around one end of pine bush cutting.
12. Add additional pine sections keeping the ends together, flair the tips out from center.
13. Keep the wire close to center of spray. Lay pinecones over center of spray, covering wire.
14. Cut a cardboard circle that will be attached behind spray and will not be visible from front (space behind pinecones).
15. Remove pinecones and hot glue cardboard to wired center of spray. Flip and hot glue pinecones on front center.
16. Add additional small cuttings of pine between random pinecones if desired.
17. Hot glue back of cardboard circle on spray to overlap area of ribbons on front of package.
