SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 12" Paper Mache letter
  • Flocked Pine branch bush
  • Frosted Cedar Evergreen stem, 2
  • Hot glue gun/glue gun sticks
  • Wire cutters

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Remove small clusters of the pine and begin to cover the paper mache letter by hot gluing the pine down to the letter. Only glue the bottom portion of the pine. Continue this process until there is a layer of the pine covering the letter.
  2. Lay a small piece of pine on top of the clusters to cover the bottom of the stem, especially at the bottom of the letter.
  3. Cut single pieces of Cedar Evergreen and incorporate the throughout the letter. Glue in the same manner as with the pine. Only gluing the bottom portion of the foliage to attach them to the paper mache letter.
  4. Layer the greens and cover the letter so that the paper mache is hidden. Fill in with small pieces of pine and evergreen.
  5. To cover the tops of the letter, use small pieces of pine and lay them flat and in the same direction so that it flows into the pine from the sides of the letter.

Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:

  • Be sure to keep the shape of the letter you are covering with floral. Trim any greens that are out of place or not in the right form for the letter.
  • Cut the Cedar Evergreen pieces in half in order to help fill in any bare spots and to prevent the letter from becoming too bushy.
