SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Wire cutters
- Floral wire, 22 gauge, 1
- Hot glue gun/glue gun sticks
- Garland; Holiday Mixed Greenery, 2
- Floral Picks:
- Holiday Pine with Red Berry, 4
- Holiday 21" Red Glitter Hydrangea Bush, 2
- Holiday Glisten Farm White Magnolia Bush, 1
- Holiday Berry Stem Red, 3
- Holiday Eucalyptus Red Berry Bush, 2
DIRECTIONS:
- Flatten main stems of garlands. Overlap the ends with the loops by 2". This will give a finish length of approximately 9'. Adjust overlap for desired finish length. Flare individual stems to spread out garland. Wire the end loop of each garland to the stem of the other.
- Take two of the heavy wire Pine with Red Berry branches. Place the stems together so pine is pointing out from center. Wire together. Place centered on top of the garland. Wire central stems to garland. Do not pull garlands tight together in center. This will produce a wider central area.
- Place two more Pine with Red Berry branches stems as a continuation of the first set of branches. Place these stems under the garland and wire to the first set and the garland. Mix the branches with the garland.
- Cut Hydrangea and Magnolia flowers leaving 5-6" stems. Cut off all leaves and reserve for later. Place flowers in clusters along the garland. Bend the stems so they will match up with a stem already a part of the garland. Use the smaller flowers for further away from center. Place flowers so there are equal numbers visible from each side. Lay the last flower 16" from the end of the garland.
- Cut the three Holly Berry stems in to seven stems each. Push the leaves toward the tips. Place the stems equally spaced along the garland.
- Wire and glue the flowers and berry stems to the garland. Use a few of the leaves from the flowers to wrap around any glue joints that are deep in the garland.
- Cut two Eucalyptus stems into twelve leaf stems and one berry stem each. Use as fill and as an additional texture throughout the garland. Place shorter stems closer to the ends of the garland. Apply glue on wire stem and on lowest leaves to secure to garland.
- Hot glue bottom third of single leaves under petals of flowers.
- Check the back of the garland to make sure that there are no wires that may damage table surface.
Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:
- When applying hot glue, hold the tip of the gun close to the spot to be glued. Wipe the nozzle off when finished with each gluing.
- Place the stems in approximate locations, tuck the ends into the wreath, then glue.
