DIRECTIONS:

  1. Table Arrangement:
  2. Hot glue floral foam into base of container. If using multiple layers of foam, apply a small amount of hot glue between layers. These layers will be further secured together with the stems.
  3. Place longest stems into container first. Equally space the stems around the container. The length of the stems may need to be cut down. Fill spaces between the long stems with the short stems.
  4. Intertwine the greenery to naturalize. Place pinecones into spaces in the greenery, flocked side up.

  5. Swag:
  6. The finished size of the swag will be determined by the positioning of the additional stems.
  7. Lay the swag on a flat surface. Place the longest stem ends under the swag into the grapevine area of swag or alongside a thick area of greenery attached to the original swag with hot glue and a spiral of floral wire.

  8. Stems may be extended in length by adding short stems. Apply a bead of hot glue along a stem. Add a new section of stem to the hot glue. Follow with a tight spiral of floral wire. Any wires that are cut off from stems may be added on to shorter floral. Make a small loop at the end of stem wire using pliers. Twist tie a length of floral wire around the loop. Hot glue the lengths of stems to be attached and spiral the floral wire to further secure. (see photo)

  9. Set smaller stems into secured swag stems, to fill. Secure each small stem by hot glue and spirals of floral wire. Any exposed spirals of wire and hot glue may be covered by individual leaves.
  10. Hot glue the pinecones, flocked side up, in a random pattern throughout the swag.
  11. Hold the swag up or hang on a wall often during construction to ensure the desired result.
